Champions by design. 1:10 scale 2WD off road has been Team Associated's signature class since the release of the RC10 in 1984. The Team Associated RC10 buggy series has won 12 of the 17 I.F.M.A.R. World Championships contested since the racing class began. In fact, Team Associated has won more 2WD I.F.M.A.R World Championships than all other manufacturers combined!

The engineering continues. Team Associated's RC10B6.1 has been met with wild success by racers across the globe. As good as that may be, the engineers of Team Associated's Area 51 became aware of the advantages that could be gained in certain track conditions by racing a lighter-weight B6.1.

Enter the RC10B6.1 Factory Lite. Shedding over 45 grams of weight from the original B6.1D, the Factory Lite was designed to excel in classes requiring Spec motors, allowing the racer to take full advantage of the performance offered by the reduced weight. The Factory Lite sheds 30 of the 45 grams in rotational mass alone.

Requires:

1:10 scale 540-size electric motor
1:10 scale electronic speed control
7.4V LiPo or 6.6V LiFe battery (shorty pack, saddle pack, or square pack) Saddle Pack and Square can be used, but you must remove the battery strap #91731 -- the battery must be held in with 2 sided tape.
Battery charger (able to charge one of the batteries mentioned above)
2-channel surface transmitter, and its batteries
2-channel receiver

Great kit to get back into the hobby

I've been shopping at Larry's Performance R/C close to 20 years and the staff has always been helpful. When I wanted to get into the 1/10 scale buggy racing this one was highly recommended plus I knew from my previous Team Associated touring car kit that parts (OEM and aftermarket) were going to be plentiful. Putting the buggy together was relatively easy. Some instructions weren't as clear but I figured it out. I took the car out for the first time and it handles great. I'm using a Hobbywing XR10 Pro ESC/17.5 motor. Due to my lack of experience on a track, the car took some crashes but didn't break. As an option the guys at the shop recommended that I swap out my ball diff for the gear diff when practicing/racing on their track for better handling and less maintenance.
