Clipless Body Mounting:Features Overview
Rustler’s innovative clipless body features secure mounting with quick and easy removal. No posts, no clips—just drop the body onto the chassis and snap it into place for a secure hold. When it’s time to change the battery, depress the tabs under the wheel wells and lift to access the chassis in just seconds.
Molded Body Reinforcements:
Rustler’s clipless body latches are neatly integrated into molded body reinforcements that look great and protect the body. Unlike traditional posts and clips, Rustler’s body reinforcements spread impact forces over a wide area to minimize the risk of pull-through damage.
Adjustable Wheelie Bar:
Rustler’s wheelie bar becomes a necessity thanks to the monstrous power of the BL-2s brushless power system. The patented wheelie bar offers four-position adjustments for wheelie control. The durable nylon composite mount offers an extra level of protection for the motor and transmission case.
Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks:
Rustler’s oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-rings for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. Adjust the ride height and pre-load on the white powder-coated springs with the included spacer clips. Ultra Shocks are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons available.
Extreme Heavy-Duty Driveshafts:
Rustler’s extreme heavy-duty driveshafts are beefed up in critical areas for outrageous power handling. The large-diameter half shafts offer excellent articulation and suspension travel and hold up to the BL-2s brushless system’s tire-shredding torque with ease.

3-Channel Receiver with Fail-Safe Security:
In the event of signal loss due to an accidental transmitter switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last commanded steering position. The fail-safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be activated.
BL-2s Brushless Power System:
The waterproof BL-2s electronic speed control packs powerful features like three separate drive profiles, low-voltage detection for LiPo batteries, patented Training Mode™, and Thermal-Shutdown Protection to prevent overheating. The sensorless BL-2s 3300 kV motor with integrated cooling fan delivers strong brushless performance with nearly zero maintenance.
TQ 2.4 GHz Transmitter:
The TQ 2.4 GHz radio system keeps the focus on having fun, not worrying about interference from other vehicles. The TQ radio’s advanced programming provides long-range control with smooth, glitch-free performance and its ergonomic design is comfortable for all-day driving.
Alias All-Terrain Tires:
Rustler rides on aggressive 2.8″ chrome 6-spoke wheels. Alias step-pin rear tires and ribbed front tires keep Rustler firmly planted on extreme off-road terrain.
Bellcrank Steering with Servo Saver:
A 40+ mph stadium truck needs a sophisticated steering design to provide razor-sharp handling and accurate steering response. Rustler's high-performance bellcrank steering system minimizes bump steer to increase cornering stability.
Easy Access Battery Compartment:
Rustler’s battery hold-down accommodates either 6 or 7-cell flat battery packs or 7-cell hump packs for maximum versatility. An optional battery expansion kit Part 3725X (sold separately) accommodates oversized batteries.
High-Torque Waterproof Steering Servo:
A race truck needs a powerful steering servo for responsive performance, and Traxxas delivers with the 2056 high-torque servo. This waterproof steering servo uses O-ring seals to keep the fun going when things get wet.
Heavy Duty Suspension Arms:
Molded from our toughest composite material, Rustler’s heavy duty suspension arms provide just the right amount of flex to resist breaking. These suspension arms stand up to even the most punishing drivers for non-stop wheel-to-wheel racing.
Hex Hardware:
Rustler’s hex-drive hardware provides a more positive and secure connection than other fasteners. The black-oxide coating provides a rust resistant high-tech look and feel.
LED-Ready Front Bumper:
Rustler’s rugged tube-style front bumper helps ward off crash damage to protect the chassis. The bumper also features bosses to mount accessory LED lights, parts 3791 & 2263 (sold separately).
Durable One-Piece Camber Links:
Durable one-piece camber links are perfect for bashing because they maintain proper suspension geometry and never require adjustments. Captured rod ends provide unmatched durability and they won't pop off.
Extreme Heavy Duty Suspension Components:
Rustler comes outfitted with factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty suspension components for ultimate strength and durability. The rear axle carriers, C-hubs, and steering blocks are beefed up with more material and stronger construction.
Metal Gear Magnum 272 Transmission:
The Magnum 272 transmission features all metal gear internals riding on ultra-smooth sealed ball bearings. The sealed gearbox protects the transmission components from dirt and rocks. The fortified Magnum 272 is built to handle even extreme Velineon® VXL brushless power without costly upgrades.
Torque-Control Slipper Clutch:
The Torque-Control slipper clutch uses special semi-metallic friction material and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment.
Steel-Composite Planetary Gear Differential:
The composite planetary gear differential features a steel ring gear for long life. It uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during rigorous off-road bashing. This type of differential requires virtually no maintenance, and its efficient design puts maximum tire-shredding torque to the wheels.
Rubber-Sealed Ball Bearings:
Rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.- Specs
