Overview
The XR311 is a re-release kit that was originally available in 1977. It was Tamiya's first suspension equipped RC buggy. The 2012 re-release incorporates modern improvements while maintaining the basic layout of the original.

- Chassis: Duralumin 52S, natural finish
- Drive: Rear wheel
- Motor: Mabuchi RS540SH brushed
- Pinion Gear: 15 tooth
- Electronic Speed Control: TEU-104BK with reverse
- Suspension: Torsion bar with all wheels independently sprung, upper and lower H-arms
- Steering: Two equal length tie rods
- Gearbox: Fully enclosed, may be assembled with one of three different gear ratios
- Body: Injection molded, camouflage green in color with cockpit details
- Driver Figure: Molded white plastic
- Wheels: Three-piece plastic, camouflage green in color
- Tires: Rubber, all terrain
- Camber: Non-adjustable, camber refers to the angle of the tops of the tires from vertical when viewed from front or behind vehicle
- Caster: Non-adjustable, caster/toe-in refers to the angle of the front suspension when viewed from the side of the car in relation to the chassis
